FRIEND CITY COUNCIL
SPECIAL MEETING
APRIL 19, 2022
Mayor Knoke called the special meeting of the City Council to order at 6:30 p.m. at the City Hall. Advanced notice of the meeting was given by posting notice at three places in town, one method for giving advanced notice. All proceedings shown were taken while the meeting was open to the attendance of the public.
Mayor Judith Knoke presided, and City Clerk John R. Schwab recorded the proceedings. The following Councilmembers were present: Kristen Milton, David Sladek, and Shane Stutzman. Absent Jeremy Collier. A quorum being present, and the meeting duly convened, the following proceedings were had and done.
As required by the Nebraska Open Meetings Act, Mayor Knoke announced that a copy of the Nebraska Open Meetings Act has been posted on the south door of the City Hall meeting room for all in attendance to review.
Mayor Knoke led the pledge of Allegiance.
Motion by Sladek, seconded by Milton to approve the variance for Austin Rohrig. On roll call voting ayes, Stutzman, Milton, and Sladek. Nays none. Absent Collier.
Motion by Sladek, seconded by Milton, to postpone recommendation for Shane Stutzman. On roll call voting ayes Sladek, and Milton. Stutzman abstains. Nays none. Absent Collier.
Motion by Stutzman, seconded by Milton to field 1 or 2 teams for the Hospital golf tournament. On roll call voting ayes, Sladek, Milton, and Stutzman. Nays none. Absent Collier.
No Action taken on Legion Golf Tournament.
Ordinance for metal buildings is postponed until next meeting for more information. To invite Gary Tuttle and Mark Stutzman.
No further business to come before the City Council, a motion was made by Stutzman, seconded by Milton to adjourn the meeting. Voting aye Milton, Sladek, and Stutzman. Nays none. Absent Collier. Motion carried and meeting adjourned at 7:03 p.m.
