Livestock, fowl, etc animal application and regulations
Chickens are allowed in the City of Friend, as long as the following rules are upheld:
-Application (linked below) is turned in to Planning & Zoning Committee, who will then pass recommendation along to City Council for final approval BEFORE animals are on property
-Application includes the following:
-Statement signed by all property owners or residents living within 200 feet in all directions from the property lines where animals will be kept
-Description of type of enclosure for confinement of animals, and plan for disposal of animal waste/manure
-Certificate from a licensed veterinarian verifying that the animals are in good health
-No more than 12 hens allowed; NO ROOSTERS
