FRIEND CITY COUNCIL
MINUTES-SPECIAL WORKING SESSION
January 25, 2022
Mayor Knoke called the special working session meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. at the City Hall. Councilmembers present: Jeremy Collier, Kristen Milton, and David Sladek. Shane Stutzman absent.
As required by the Nebraska Open Meetings Act, Mayor Knoke announced that a copy of the Nebraska Open Meetings Act has been posted on the south door of the City Hall meeting room for all in attendance to review.
Mayor Knoke led the pledge of allegiance.
Discussion was heard regarding the possible ways to pay for a new Fire Hall. The fire department is applying for a cost share grant. Other options discussed was a bond with shares being paid by the Rural Fire Board and the City.
No further business to come before the City Council, motion was made by Sladek, seconded by Milton, to adjourn the meeting. On roll call voting aye, Milton, Collier, and Sladek. Absent Stutzman. Nays none. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 8:09 p.m.
