MINUTES-SPECIAL MEETING
DECEMBER 18, 2007
Mayor Vossler called the special meeting of the City Council to order at 6:30 p.m. at the Warren Memorial Hospital Conference Room. Advanced notice of the meeting was given by publication in The Sentinel, the appointed method for giving advanced notice. All proceedings shown were taken while the meeting was open to the attendance of the public.
The Mayor, James Vossler, presided and City Clerk, Debbie Gilmer, recorded the proceedings. The following Councilmembers were present: Dale Lawver, Harlan Schrock, and Dan Drake. Dan Fricke was absent. A quorum being present and the meeting duly convened, the following proceedings were had and done.
As required by the Nebraska Open Meetings Act, Mayor Vossler announced that a copy of the Nebraska Open Meetings Act has been posted in the conference room for all in attendance to review.
Motion was made by Schrock, seconded by Drake, to open the public hearing to accept comments regarding an application for a Retail Class D Liquor License as applied for by Jeraldine A. Rut, dba First Street Liquor. On roll call voting aye, Lawver, Drake, Schrock. Nays none. Fricke absent. Public hearing opened at 6:33 p.m.
Mayor Vossler announced that comments and/or questions would be accepted from audience members. No comments were received.
Mayor Vossler announced that if there were no comments regarding the application for a Retail Class D Liquor License as applied for by Jeraldine A. Rut, dba First Street Liquor, it was now time to close the public hearing. Motion to close the public hearing was made by Lawver, seconded by Drake. On roll call voting aye, Schrock, Lawver, Drake. Nays none. Fricke absent. Public hearing closed at 6:41 p.m.
Motion was made by Schrock, seconded by Lawver, to approve and recommend to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission the application for a Class D Liquor License as applied for by Jeraldine A. Rut, dba First Street Liquor. On roll call voting aye, Drake, Schrock, Lawver. Nays none. Fricke absent. Motion carried.
With no further business to come before the Council, motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Drake, seconded by Schrock. On roll call voting aye, Lawver, Schrock, Drake. Nays none. Fricke absent. Meeting adjourned at 6:45 p.m.
