MINUTES-SPECIAL MEETING
JUNE 10, 2009
Mayor Vossler called the special meeting of the City Council to order at 6:09 p.m. at the City Hall. Advanced notice of the meeting was given by publication in The Sentinel, the appointed method for giving advanced notice. All proceedings shown were taken while the meeting was open to the attendance of the public.
The Mayor, James Vossler, presided and City Clerk, Debbie Gilmer, recorded the proceedings. The following Councilmembers were present: Dan Drake, Harlan Schrock, and Dale Lawver. Stan Krause was absent. A quorum being present and the meeting duly convened, the following proceedings were had and done.
As required by the Nebraska Open Meetings Act, Mayor Vossler announced that a copy of the Nebraska Open Meetings Act has been posted on the south door of the City Hall meeting room for all in attendance to review.
Mayor Vossler announced that the public hearing will now open. Motion to open hearing to receive comments from the public relating to the application for Class C Liquor License for NSN Geis LLC, dba Sidewaze Sports Bar & Grill was made by Councilman Schrock, seconded by Councilman Drake. On roll call voting aye, Lawver, Drake, Schrock. Nays none. Krause absent. Public Hearing opened at 6:10 p.m.
Mayor Vossler stated that comments would be received at this time. No comments were offered.
Mayor Vossler announced that if there were no objections or recommendations to be heard regarding the application for Class C Liquor License for NSN Geis LLC, dba Sidewaze Sports Bar & Grill, the public hearing could now be closed. Motion to close the public hearing was made by Councilman Lawver, seconded by Councilman Schrock. On roll call voting aye, Drake, Schrock, Lawver. Nays none. Krause absent. Public hearing closed at 6:13 p.m.
Motion to approve recommendation to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission to grant a Class C Liquor License to NSN Geis LLC, dba Sidewaze Sports Bar & Grill, was made by Councilman Drake, seconded by Councilman Schrock. On roll call voting aye, Lawver, Schrock, Drake. Nays none. Krause absent. Motion carried.
With no further business to come before the Council, motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Schrock, seconded by Lawver. On roll call voting aye, Drake, Schrock, Lawver. Nays none. Krause absent. Meeting adjourned at 6:16 p.m.
