FRIEND CITY COUNCIL
MINUTES-EMERGENCY MEETING
JUNE 29, 2023
Mayor Knoke called the emergency meeting of the City Council to order at 8:15 p.m. at the City Hall. There was a minimum advance notice given due to the unforeseen circumstances regarding a matter that required immediate attention from the Council.
Mayor Judith Knoke presided, and City Clerk John R. Schwab recorded the proceedings. The following Councilmembers were present: Kristen Milton, Jeremy Collier, David Sladek , and Phyllis Schwab. A quorum being present, and the meeting duly convened, the following proceedings were had and done.
As required by the Nebraska Open Meetings Act, Mayor Knoke announced that a copy of the Nebraska Open Meetings Act has been posted on the south door of the City Hall meeting room for all in attendance to review.
Discussion was held regarding the hospital finances. Many ideas were discussed to help the hospital.
Motion was made by Collier, seconded by Milton, to transfer $100,000.00 to the hospital and revisit on the July 11th meeting. On roll call voting aye, Schwab, Sladek, Milton, and Collier.
No further business to come before the City Council, motion was made by Collier, seconded by Schwab, to adjourn the meeting. On roll call voting aye, Sladek, Milton, Collier, and Schwab. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 9:52 p.m.
